Hi!
This is a awesome website with a lot of tips!! I have some trouple with this plugin though. First, I tried to copy the .dll file to Fl studio-plugin directory. Launch the plugin once. Then install the factory presets to the default directory. However there no presets present when I run the plugin in FL studio again.

So, I tried to install the plugin to C:\Program\VSTplugin folder instead. Then reinstall the factory presets. I didn't help.

Could you please help me. I'm a newbie =)

Thanks in advance

if you're using FL studio, you can load one instance of Phenome, load up all 8 channels, set the midi port in options and then add "MIDI OUT" channels to access all the instruments you've added in Phenome. This is instead of adding multiple instances of Phenome. Same thing with SampleTank. Only pb with MIDI OUT channels is that you can't do effects on them.

The Kirnu VST looks great too! I'm going to give it a try. Although If I get frustrated Ill probably end up on the piano roll haha.

In reply to <a href="https://howtomakeelectronicmusic.com/phenome-free-soundfont-player-by-prodyon-virtual-gear/#comment-48">Jon W</a>.

Jon, that's a good question :)

Arpeggios are widely used in trance. I think it's one of the most common elements in this genre. Arpeggio is a musical technique where notes in a chord are played in sequence one after the other rather than simultaneously. And this is where arpeggiator come in handy. Arpeggiator automatically steps through a sequence of notes based on an input chord.

There's actually several ways to create arpeggios. You can create them manually by hand by laying the notes one-by-one like the arpeggiator would do. So in FL Studio you go to Piano Roll, pick a chord and lay the notes one-after-another.

Also, many of the synthesizers have built in arpeggiators and usually they're programmable meaning you can manipulate the order and speed in which the notes play: upwards, downwards or in a random order.

Then there's VST plugins that acts as a arpeggiator. Check <a href="http://www.artovaarala.com" rel="nofollow ugc">Kirnu by Arto Vaarala</a>. You can feed any sound into it and it makes them arpeggiate.

Moreover, in FL Studio theres "Riff Machine" which you can use to create arps using any VST synthesizer you want.

Actually this is a great idea for my next tutorial. I'll start to work with it right away :)
