Twin Delay Cool VST Delay Effect

Twin Delay

I recently came across one cool and free delay effect: Twin Delay by Dmitry “Cyberworm” Vasilyev. It’s a very good VST plugin for Dub style sounds, etheric atmospheres and other interesting effects.

Here’s some details (quote from Rhythm-Lab website):

Twin Delay is a VST plugin designed to emulate digital and analog delay effects. The program is not an exact copy of already existing hardware-based equipment. Nevertheless, it can be used for producing a majority of popular effects, as well as some modulation and ‘unusual’ effects, for instance, Flanger, Metallizer. Particular attention has been given to analog delay algorithms, that make it possible to create beautiful and original sounds, frequently used in such genres as IDM, Experimental, Breaks and especially Dub, as well as genres that use Dub elements: Dub techno, Dubstep, Dubwise and so on.

In installation package included English and Russian manuals.

Main features of the Twin Delay are:

  • Digital algorithm and 3 original tape algorithms
  • Channel Delay
  • 3 types of sync: auto, ms, and manual bpm
  • Cross feedback function for ping-pong delay algorithms
  • Mono/stereo smooth function
  • HP and LP filters with tube drive emulation
  • Programmed with Delphi and Assembler
  • 65+ presets

Check the video for some sounds examples. This a good pick and I will be using it in my future projects for sure 🙂

  1. There seems to be a delay between when I press the note and when it plays whenever this effect is being used. Do you have this problem? How can I fix it?
