FL Studio quick tips is a series of little tips and tricks focusing on the handy little features in FL Studio to use it more efficiently.
The first tip is about how you can save and re-use automation clips. This is how you do it:
Create automation clip for any parameter you want – sampler channel volume for example:

Draw an automation envelope and double click the automation clip to open the channel settings and click that down-arrow icon on the upper left corner and choose “Save channel state as…”:

I recommend saving it to “FL Studio \Data\Patches\Channel presets\Automation clips” -folder (maybe create a new folder under it and save it there):

Now, open the browser and dig into Channel presets -> Automation clips -> your folder. These are the saved automation clips and now you can simply drag and drop them to the Playlists:

Best way to use this feature is to first create automation clip for whatever parameter you wan’t to automate and then drag and drop the ready-made automation clip on top of it in the Playlist.
There’s already bunch of saved automation clips under the “Gates”, “Shapes” and “Special” folders. Try ’em out.

I really appreciate that.
Kind regards
THX for good stuff, Petri! Really helpful tip in terms of ‘making things right’!
BTW, as an alternative you can right-click any of that ‘ready made’ automation clips in the FL’s Browser & in expanded menu choose ‘send to selected or focused plugin’.
I’m sure this will help to browse presets even more faster. But don’t forget to select your target automation clip channel before this action, of course! 🙂
